Lost in the Twilight

You haven’t seen any book reviews on my blog lately because I’m embarrassed to say I’m lost in the Twilight series, novels written for teenagers (and not very bright teenagers, either). They’re primarily focused on a star-crossed romance between a girl and a devastatingly handsome and suave 90 year-old vampire. Werewolves and Native American legends play a part. Also, naturally, some carnage.

Yep. That’s what I’m reading until midnight every night. It’s like a junk food habit, and I CAN'T STOP UNTIL ALL THE CANDY IS GONE.

OMG so I'm not the only reasonable, thinking adult who has fallen into the twilight trap? I've read the first three in the last ten days, and tonight I went to Barnes and Noble to reserve my copy of Breaking Dawn for the release party tomorrow night. I'm such a geek! And I'll be there... but not in a prom dress.

Ha! I feel better now. And I have a highly educated, bright friend in her 40s who has asked to borrow them, so that makes at least three adults reading these novels.
