After weeks (months?) of eating out, scrabbled-together meals, and Tomato Head pesto with pasta, I am newly committed to doing more cooking at home. This change of heart was partly inspired by my purchase of a cookbook for my Uncle Jimmy, with whom I share an appreciation for food and cooking. As is our custom in exchanging cookbooks, the buyer first reads the book, then debates whether to buy a copy for his/her own. Screen Doors and Sweet Tea made me realize all the fantastic meals I've been missing. I'm definitely returning to Carpe Librum to get my own copy.
I'm going to be grilling a lot until summer winds down, but I'm looking forward to the heartier meals of fall, and I think this cookbook will play a part.
