Listening to . . . Scott Miller

He's playing at the Bijou on August 23; hope we can make it. I've loved Mr. Miller since he was in the V-Roys. He's a soulful, rockin' and rollin' Appalachian songwriter. Mary, a song about his dying grandfather, is on my top ten list of all-time favorite songs: "Mary, keep my picture hung; I played Death for cigarettes, got the cancer in my lungs. Tell every one of my grandsons exactly what I did; spent my whole life waiting for the time that I hardly lived."

FYI, the second song on Citation is rated R. Listen to it in the privacy of your own iPod.
