We're taking a more relaxed approach to summer than in years past and have our seventeen year-old niece, Elizabeth, babysitting the 500Jerk children at the pool and around town. While I've loved sending my children to Knoxville day camps, camp often feels a lot like school, especially with a hard start time at 8:30AM. In the mid-summer morning frenzy of getting kids ready to get out the door, I've even caught myself shouting, "C'mon, we're going to be late for school!"
So we're going a bit more low-key this summer. Eating ice cream on the hammock.
Hauling out the smoker to cook with friends (note matching ensembles).
Hanging out at swim meets.
A fun season.
