Our house has been overrun with kids this week, two of mine, three cousins, and an extra friend thrown in here and there. It's been loud, messy, and fun. But today they all packed up in a car together and drove away for a week.
At -5 people, the chaos level in the 500Jerk house is way down, and we miss them.
This is how the normally stoic 500Jerk Spouse's first phone call started out with the newly independent Miss M:
500Jerk Spouse: Hi, Miss M. We miss you! Yeah, already. So when are you coming home?
You know what? I'm just not letting them go away to college. And that's THAT.
