Our tweenage nephew, Michael, who has Down's syndrome, is one of my favorite people. He always, always has a big hug for me, and we have a silly game, "Jelly, jelly," which consists of nothing more than repeating, "jelly, jelly" back and forth to each other in a ridiculous way, then cracking up about it. It perplexes and annoys everyone around us, but hey. We have a good time.
Michael had a big summer this year. He traveled out West to meet us in Glacier National Park (here he is with Boy Wonder), and he learned to ride a bike.
You rock, Michael. Jelly, jelly!
