After a week of unstoppable wiggling and bloody suspense, the tooth fairy will be visiting our house this evening. The tooth fairies must have access to an absolutely astounding secondary market in baby teeth because the going rate (my seven year-old informs me) is now $20. Given that she keeps the tooth, however,* I feel certain our fairy will be leaving only a nominal sum.
