With a little bit of fanfare, speechmaking, and plenty of off-key singing we celebrated our labrador retriever's tenth birthday this evening. She's been a sweet, fun dog, and she is a shadow to my daughter and me.
What, you might ask, did we have in celebration?
Meat cake, of course. With cheese icing.
