STELLLLAAAAAAAAAAGHHH

Per an actor-friend's advice, I recently watched A Streetcar Named Desire with Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh. For those of you born after 1951 and as clueless as I am, Mr. Brando was one of the most respected actors of the 20th century, and this is one of his best-known performances. And he is very convincing as the swaggering wife-beater, Stanley Kowalski. He's got a high-pitched mean voice and even when he's not in motion, he shimmers with tension.

I'm not quite done with the movie, but I think I'll see it through. Talent aside, A Streetcar Named Desire is worth watching while folding the laundry on a weeknight. Because that Marlon Brando? With the smoldering eyes and pouty lips?

Not so hard to look at.
