Wacky Tacky Day

Yesterday was Wacky Tacky Day at the Thackston School, and in the name of school spirit, the kids wore mismatched clothes and duct-taped the principal to a wall.

Yes, you read that right. DUCT-TAPED THE PRINCIPAL TO A WALL.

I don't know about your elementary school principal, but the principal of MY Westchester County elementary school was an extremely chic Nancy Pelosi-like individual who never would have suffered such an indignity. Plus, I don't think duct-tape had even been invented when I was a child.

You know, back in the day.

School today is WAY more fun.

Just look at that happy kid.

I love wacky days. One time my son wore underwear on his head along with a wacky outfit. The teachers made him put the underwear in his backpack. They said it was inappropriate. He was 8 years old. I must be an awful mother because I thought it was cute.
