Resplendent

This maple tree shades our hammock in summer, and whenever I get the chance, I like to swing in the hammock with a kid or two and cool off. But the best part of the tree comes in fall, when its leaves flame orange, then yellow. It's visible from my bedroom window, and I spend a lot of time staring at it while brushing my teeth. So I thought I would share:

I like the word "resplendent," don't you?

A view from the aforesaid hammock.

But what's that creeping sense of unease I feel? That slightly upside down feeling in my stomach?

Oh, right. Work calls.

Better snap to it.
